I can't believe this site exists. I thought by now it would have broken down into tiny digital fragments and blown away in the cyberbreeze from lack of attention. I'm sorry internet, I've failed you again.

I'm feeling especially bored so I figure I'll update.
Shows that were good : Junior Boys, RJD2. Both were enjoyable, I think Junior Boys was better though. Going to see Ratatat in a couple days that should be good too.
Movies that were good : Grindhouse. I think the fake trailers were more entertaining than the movies, which sounds like a bad review, but I don't feel like rewording it.
Movies that were bad : Walking Tall. Just saw this on TV, and don't get me wrong The Rock is my favorite actor of all time but something about him being sheriff and carrying around a giant stick instead of a gun ruined the believablity for me. Groundbreaking performace by Johnny Knoxville.
TV shows that are good : The Office. I'm ready for Always Sunny In Philadelphia to come back.
TV shows that are bad : The rest.
Images that are good : This.

Took some pictures at the Thermals concert. They played with The Big Sleep, it was pretty cool. I ran out of batteries before it was over which is a shame because he started making some crazy faces near the end there.
300 is coming out soon, which has most people very excited for some reason. I guess I'm just not a huge fan of super slow motion head turns, extremely dramatic faces, and cheesy acting... cause according to the previews those are the only things involved. That one guy has a pretty sweet beard though, I'll give him that. Let's hope that beard has a better performance than those other non-beard things in the film. Actors I think they are called.

This Site Is Destroyed ::drew -feb 21 2007- 9:38 PM |

Somehow out of nowhere this site stopped working and wouldnt allow comments or new entries. So I decided to be a genius and mess with some .cgi files and try and get it working, and I kind of did... but the archives are blown up and I had to delete some previous entries to get it goin.
This is really mostly a test to see if I can even get a post to work right. And dont expect comment to work properly, at all, or they may work better than ever, I really have no control anymore. The one thing I do have control over is the quality of content that does remain on this site, and as God as my witness I vow to keep it as low as humanly possible.

Here's some stuff... The first things is the Tim & Eric Awesome Show Great Job!. You can go there and watch the first two episodes. It has probably the best intro of any show to date... and that is including Three's Company.
Also, for anyone who enjoys World Of Warcraft, 1up.com has a podcast called Legendary Thread. It's basically a few WoW nerds sitting around talking about the game. If you play it theres a good chance you'll like listening to it, but if you dont play it, never have played it, and still enjoy listening to it... then there is something wrong with you. It's one of those kinds of deals.
I tried taking some pics at the Mastodon show this weekend but it didnt work out too well. Here is the only one even remotely viewable of all the ones i took.

I'm gonna go ahead and blame the fact that I cant take good pictures on the camera... When in reality I actually just dont know what I'm doing. Actually I do know what I'm doing... It's called taking awful pictures.

2007: Still no jetpacks. ::drew -jan 04 2007- 3:32 AM |

We are living in the future and still have no jetpacks, hover cars, or teleporting battle droids. According to the movies we should have been having space robots smart enough to try and take over space stations and kill us like 6 years ago. Get on the ball science!
Holidays in Bham were good times, many Milos were eaten. Thanks to Klavn for my gift. I have uploaded it for envious viewing HERE. Its hard to believe Ive been in Virginia almost a year now... making games is way too slow. There should be a 2 month limit on production, maximum. That way all games will suck and the game industry will die and Ill be jobless and homeless, eating garbage with my dentures that i stole from some old guy while he was sleeping... Living the dream!
Anyway, I just found out David Gemmell died, who is one of my favorite authors. Its a sad thing because Ive read over 20 of his books and they're all incredible. Hard to believe there will be no more Gemmell books for me to read over the years... If you are into fantasy books at all you should check out his first book Legend. He has several great series though, if you pick up any of them I dont think you'll be disappointed.

i just noticed all these spam comments ive been getting on old entries. what is the point of ruining my site even further than i alone am ruining it? i can take care of all the ruining that needs to happen by myself, so please stop spamming me comment bots.
i thought id add in the archive feature to the site since its pretty much already working on its own i just havent taken advantage of it... so while i type this its not working yet, but ill have it over on the right hand section in the near future if i can figure it out, or if i can just not run into one small problem and give up. which is very likely.
a few more sketch pages might get scanned soon also. who cares.

put up some sketch pages finally. hopefully other stuff soon.
i saw this show on mtv the other day called SportsBlender, and I'm not completely sure if its a long powerade commercial or a one time show, or maybe a pilot for a show. Either way it was funny... here is the longest clip i could find. (this is the link i just mentioned) I wish i could find the entire show, it was good.
I hurt my ribs the other day and it got me to thinking.. and you know what i realized? getting hurt is dumb. If i had one wish I'd wish to feel no pain, that way i could jump off a building and destroy my legs and spine and whatever else bones and not even feel it! and if i got another wish after that i'd wish for a wheelchair, but if i was paralyzed completely then id wish for a gun. and then id wish for someone to shoot me with it.

heres a few more resized pics from newyork some of them with the saturation way blown out so they'll look like crap. on purpose. i can never tell how they end up looking while im in photoshop cause it always looks darker in my browser. i dont know why that is. so if they are too dark to see then im sorry. and if you dont accept my apology then there goes our friendship. ruined by pictures again.
ONE TWO THREE FOUR FIVE SIX SEVEN
more to come. im sure some kind of easier way of browsing these is on the horizon as well. hey remember Event Horizon? Lawrence Fishburne... that movie was weird.

Thanks to some help from internets I fixed the text color issue with the comments, so now you can actually read what you are typing. Not that anyone is leaving important comments anyway, I'm not sure why its so vital that they be able to read it... they might as well just smash their hands down on the keyboard for a while and hit submit. Same result.
Anyways... enough making fun of the four people that have visited the site. I went to new york with Brian, Baby Brian, and Chris this weekend and good times were had. I just went through the pictures i took and most of them are completely awful, but there are a few worth saving and I'll be putting them up at some point. I think this one does a good job of summarizing the trip... since apparently it is worth a thousand words. I calculate the description of the new york trip to come in at around just under 850 words so one picture ought to cover it.
In other news, I think im gonna quit playing WoW again. Cause I hate it.

I got back from Chicago last week... its pretty much the greatest city I've ever been to. So... the greatest city in the world... according to me. so the greatest. They have everything there, like awesome blue's clubs, huge skyscrapers, insane cab drivers, great food, a guy with tourettes. What more could you ask for? I wouldn't mind living there one day, strictly for the tourettes guy. I just realized how useless this website is, it has zero work on it.
Anyway, the Wizard World convention was interesting. Standing up all day sucked, but the sheer amount of crazy/weird people made up for it, almost. The best was probably the Jack Sparrow guy who looked just like Johnny Depp from Pirates of the Carribean, and was completely in character the entire time. Even when people seemlingly were paying him no attention he held onto that persona like a badger clinging to a fresh gopher carcass. You would see him idley strolling across all limp wristed and staggering drunkenly, then pose for a picture with that weird half smile... pure genius. Makes me wish i had taken pictures... but we all know I'm too lazy for any of that nonsense.

Credit must be given to Calvin for spearheading the whole mullhawk revolution. I took a picture of it and thought id share. Notice my new unicorn tattoo on the neck there. Also, it looks crooked cause of the crazy angle im tilting my head at... taking a picture of the back of your head is one of the hardest things you can possibly do by the way, maybe even THE hardest thing.. any human can do... I think so at least.
I'm going to chicago august 2nd through 7th and im going to be working at the Wizard World chicago comic-con. So if you are going to that.. feel free to come by and ask me questions about Warhammer, but expect only one of two responses. A) i dont know. B) ask the other guy. 'cause basically I know absolutely nothing about the game. I'snt that funny? Well I'm laughing hysterically.

I've returned from Birmingham, several days ago actually... i really thought I'd have like 12 entries on the new premium site by now, but lets be honest, im lazy. I went to Milo's a bunch of times in bham, which is always good, but non alabamians dont care about milos, and no one cares about them so it works out.
I wanted to post tonight so i could link this: The Amazing Screw-On Head. You can go watch the pilot online at sci-fi.com and its pretty great, and then take the survey and say how good it was so they'll make a whole season.
what else, what else... thats it i guess.

still trying to get the comments thing working again... so if its broken when you try... well... im not going to apologize for it. but once it DOES start working you can leave me comments about what to put on the right over there... its still all under construction. we'll see i guess. i'm still in a state of anger from the frustration of getting greymatter to work, thats why this entry isnt completely hilarious like all the following entries will be.
